DO you remember pop moppets S Club 7? How about boy band 911? Or Irish girl group B*Witched? Well if you do, and you’re still prepared to admit it, hold on to your bucket hats – they are due to come to Plymouth. When Union Street’s Flares/Reflex club re-brands as Popworld, it is planning to bring a host of nineties and noughties pop stars to the city in support of its policy of offering the best “cheesy” music. Jay McDonnell said S Club 7 stalwarts Bradley McIntosh and Jo O’Meara, now a sprightly 34 and 36 respectively, are set to appear late next month (NOV) as the first in a series of personal appearances at the venue. “Bradley and Jo will sing the S Club hits,” he said. “With Popworld it’s about live personal appearances.

South Shields will ‘reach’ for the stars this Christmas when S Club Party turns on the town’s festive lights. The 90’s pop-group, which currently features Bradley, Jo and Tina – three of the original members of S Club 7 – will ‘bring it all back’ to help the Mayor of South Tyneside, Councillor Richard Porthouse, with the switch on event on Saturday 21 November, at the junction of King Street and Ocean Road. The Mayor said: “This year we have a cracking line-up for the South Shields light switch on, which is always one of the highlights of the festive season. I’m looking forward to having Bradley, Jo and Tina join me onstage to help with the countdown to the town centre’s illuminations. I’m sure the people of South Shields will give S Club Party a warm welcome. S Club Party will entertain the crowds by performing a selection of their iconic hits, which are sure to get everyone singing along to their favourite songs. S Club Party said: “We are so excited to have been invited to switch on the Christmas lights in South Tyneside. And we are looking forward to seeing all our fans and singing a few hits for them.” The festive entertainment, including street entertainers from balloon modellers to stilt walkers, gets underway at 3.30pm on Saturday 21 November ahead of the official switch on event at 4.30pm.

Coventry Airport is set to break new ground with an exciting evening of classic 90s’ pop music. The Baginton venue will play host to favourites from the decade that fashion forgot, with popular boyband Five and S Club heading to Coventry to air their brand of carefree, breezy pop.
The ‘Everybody Get Up’ and ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ boys (Five) will be joined by S Club Party – three members of S Club 7 – as the groups look set to bring it all back on Saturday, June 27. Jo O’Meara – who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother – will join up with former bandmates Tina Barrett and Bradley McIntosh to display a selection of S Club 7’s signature hits just weeks after the band performed at Birmingham’s Genting Arena.
