S Club 7 vocalist Jo O’Meara has admitted that her performance on Children in Need “wasn’t great,” but says it “would’ve been wrong” to mime. The 35-year-old was responding to criticism about her vocals on Twitter, during the band’s comeback performance. Jo said, “In my defence, I was terrified… It’s the first time I’ve been back for years and years.” “I’d rather get criticised for doing a rubbish live vocal than a fantastic mimed one.” Other members of the band said they were also “shaky” and wracked with nerves before the show.
