Calling all young dancers…here is your chance to shine with the stars of a festive spectacular. Sixteen junior girls are required for the panto Beauty and the Beast which will be staged at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre.

The panto stars S Club 7’s pop princess Tina Barrett, and Jon Moses from ITV’s Superstar. Auditions will be held at the Pomegranate Theatre this Sunday, September 22, with registration from 2pm. Panto producers Paul Holman Associates are looking for junior girl dancers aged 8-12 years, maximum height 4ft 10ins. Those who attend the audition will be attending regular dance classes and be proficient in ballet, jazz and tap. They must also follow a recognised syllabus (IDTA, ISTED, RAD, etc) . All dancers must be local to the Pomegranate Theatre and be able to commit for all rehearsals and performances. The successful candidates will rehearse in Chesterfield mainly after school and at the weekend from Monday, November 25. Performances are from December 6, 2013, to January 5, 2014.
