Personal trainer Adam Thomas says he never wants to speak to the singer again after she kicked him out of their flat. S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt has dumped her fiancé and is back in the arms of ex bandmate Paul. The Don’t Stop singer ditched personal trainer Adam Thomas “out of the blue” and kicked him out of their flat, the Sunday People reveals. Now she is back with Paul Cattermole and has even moved him in, leaving the heartbroken fitness instructor baffled – not least because she used to brand Paul “the fat one who can’t dance”.
Jilted Adam, 35, said: “Hannah moaned to me until she was blue in the face about Paul – she said he was so fat he could hardly dance. “And now she’s with him. He’d moved into my bed before it’d got cold – that’s the biggest kick in the teeth. He added: “I’d do anything for that girl. I was so happy. I wanted her to be my wife. I wanted children with her. I saw the rest of my life with her. “I’m an emotional wreck. I’m having counselling, I’m on anti-depressants.” What made things worse was Hannah and Paul began taking cheesy selfies on her iPhone – and because Adam had shared an iCloud account with her, the pictures began flooding on to his iPad. He said: “It was a matter of weeks before pictures of them began popping up. I didn’t want to see them looking all loved-up. It was a shock.”
Hannah and Paul were an item for five years during the band’s heyday with hits such as S Club Party and Reach. Paul, 38, left the band in 2002 – a year before the group split – but the pair stayed together until 2006 when Hannah walked out after he accused her of cheating with actor Andrew Lee Potts, 35. At the time, Paul said: “Within a couple of months our five-year relationship was over. “I don’t hate Hannah, I wish her happiness. I just feel sad that she couldn’t tell me about her and Andrew before publicly announcing it.”
Hannah, 34, and Adam met through a friend in May 2013 when he began giving her personal training sessions. They got engaged after a whirlwind seven-month romance. Adam said: “When we met I’d honestly never heard of her. “I knew S Club 7 but wouldn’t know she was in the band. Three months later we started dating and at Christmas I proposed. “It was a bit of a whirlwind but it felt right. I thought she was the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen. Kind and thoughtful – I couldn’t sing her praises enough.” Adam was relaxed about Hannah and Paul working together when the band re-formed as she had slated him so much. He added: “Paul would call Hannah all the time. She used to listen to him whine on the phone – she’d put it on loudspeaker and walk off and leave him to ramble. “She used to say ‘ugh – I can’t believe I used to have sex with him’.” After the band reunited for Children in Need last November, Hannah became increasingly busy. Adam said a stressful few months led to them taking a break from their relationship in April – a fortnight before Hannah went on tour. He moved out of their shared house hoping space could fix things. Hannah continued to call Adam, even inviting him to her hotel after a London performance. He said: “We sat up for hours, talking and joking, just normal again. “The next morning her attitude completely changed and she wanted nothing to do with me. “Later we met in a restaurant. She was all over me – her legs were across my lap and she was asking me to massage them – it gave me hope the break was having a positive effect.”
Then, last week Hannah sent Adam a text saying she wanted to cut all ties. Adam recalled: “She said ‘I’ve moved on’, and I knew something wasn’t right. “I cycled straight around to her house like a maniac. I walked straight in and there they were both sitting there. “I wanted to understand why she was with him when I had to listen to three months of her moaning about him being so fat, letting the band down, not turning up to rehearsals, calling her every night and not leaving her alone.” Adam added: “I loved her so much. She was the most amazing girl I’d ever met. “But overnight she just changed character. She wouldn’t speak to me, she didn’t want me in the house. It was weird. “We hadn’t drifted apart. She cut off emotionally. She was like a different person. I don’t ever want to see Hannah or speak to her again.”
