‘Utopia’ is a new feature film by World Film Production and Tripswitch Productions, both independant production companies based in Scotland and dedicated to the development and production of high quality films. Since Tripswitch Productions was created they have worked on many projects around the world from Europe to the Middle East & The America’s. The synergy created between the companies has been established on previous features.
‘Utopia’ is scheduled to go into production on the 22nd January 2014.
The film will be shot on location in Afghanistan, India and the UK.
Three intertwoven stories of lonelieness and isolation. The story follows Janan, a woman from Afghanistan who’s given permission to travel to the UK for artificial insemination from a sperm donor. Complications arise when she learns that the father of the baby she will give birth to comes from a family with long standing connections to the military and were part of the forces on the ground in her homeland.
