The Saturdays have been quick to reassure fans that they aren’t going anywhere following the announcement that bandmate Frankie Sandford is expecting her first child with footballer Wayne Bridge, becoming the third member of the group to become a mother. Fans of the ‘What About Us’ hitmakers have been concerned about the future of the girl group questioning how the band could possibly go on after Frankie gives birth to her first child so soon after Una Healy and Rochelle Humes also became first time mums. However, the girls have dismissed rumours of a split promising that they will continue to release new music this year. The mum-to-be explained to the Daily Star: “Our album will be out late summer hopefully. We then plan to tour,” before assuring fans: “We definitely aren’t splitting”. Phew! Staying true to their word, the E! reality stars are currently promoting their new single ‘Gentlemen’ which the band performed for the first time at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Derry-London Derry where Frankie flaunted her impressive bump on stage. A source reportedly told the newspaper that the group will carry on as a four piece when Frankie goes on maternity leave and Rochelle returns then reuniting altogether for a new tour. All five members of the Saturdays will be performing at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball alongside Taylor Swift and Robbie Williams.
